Sonor Vintage Series Vintage Red Oyster Snare Drum

Ever sat and yearned to create the iconic sounds of the past yourself and not just be content with listening to them on old school recording? Well move over drummers the Sonor Vintage Series is here and you no longer have to dream about creating those sounds, it's now very much a reality! The Vintage Series from Sonor celebrates the sound, the look and the feel of those vintage kits that made Sonor so iconic back in the 1950's. Hand selected German beech wood is the shell base for this snare drum and the snare has rounded, vintage style bearing edges which make for a warm resonance due to the increased head to shell contact when in use.

The redesigned Super 50 strainer is a reinvention of strainers used in the classic snare drums from the 1950's, the Sonor D-411 and Sonor D-412. Tune Safe technology is as standard with all Sonor snare drums and it allows you to be tuned in 100% of the time, allowing you to perfect tuning every time. Stability and capability are key benefits to using a snare with Tune Safe technology. Redesigned Superprofil triple flanged hoops, have been created to reflect the vintage style hoops that were used within vintage kits, the 2.3mm triple flanged steel hoops have a traditional shape which hugs the snare drum, a shape that was super popular with Sonor during the 1950's and 70's.
